About CHIGAF

CHIGAF is a non-governmental, non-profit foundation dedicated to the well-being of children and adolescents. Our objectives focus on addressing both the mental and physical needs of neglected children, including their psychological state, perception of crises, coping strategies, and overall development to help them thrive in a global context. While these represent our initial steps, our long-term goals include ongoing support for children experiencing crises, ensuring that their mental and physical needs are met, and extending care to the needs of other involved members. As noted on our homepage, CHIGAF began by addressing the crisis of neglected children in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and has since expanded its reach to other areas as needed.

CHIGAF is also involved in providing a better future for at-risk teens/youths.

Mission: To provide mentoring services for children in crisis as well as at-risk youths and adolescents.

In 2013, CHIGAF held its annual ‘Make a Summer Wish’ program at orphanages in Lagos and at the Ogun State Correctional Home in Abeokuta, Nigeria. We were proud and delighted to donate a variety of educational and recreational toys to the children at these homes.
